firstly, to me, i kind of get where the parent is coming from. but at the same time, she is making a contradictory statement.
in the comments, they say the crime rates are increasing because of children not being properly disciplined, well let me say, its not always that case. they are just basically following in the footsteps of their 'rents. and i mean, okay i'm thirteen years old, i misbehave. and i don't really get hit by my 'rents and you think i am one of those thugs? seriously, people need to get their heads straight. hitting a kid does nothing, but just scare them. and when kids are scared they just tend to close off to the world, and when they are closed off their parents are just assuming the kid is up to no good. i can shut myself in my room for ages, does that mean i'm secretly doing drugs? i don't think so. 'rents are overprotective these days and seriously need to let go. it's just hilarious to see the majority of our society say what the bloody fuck is wrong with hitting a child if they are misbehaving. the law, police, they are doing the right thing. don't blame it on them. sometimes 'rents can just go a bit too far and sometimes they just seriously beat the kid up.
and i have to say, that's why children come up with a million plans to run away from home. well i know myself, if my 'rents ever did something real bad to me, i've already organised a run away plan, where i would run to, what i would take. i've got that all figured out. if 'rents keep acting like they own the child, they will take their plan into action. you think we are all just a bunch of wimps that can't do anything? think again.
and that leads me to say, 'rents do not own their children. its just like the child is a possession, some toy to play with. and nobody belongs to anybody.
i know this sounds totally bias, but i must also say, some 'rents are truly caring, and might have made a mistake and for that sometimes they need to be forgiven. everybody deserves a second chance.
do you agree with me or disagree with me? feel free to comment, i would like to know.
