getting in where you fit in - seems pretty simple right?
one day, jamila and me were talking about something and i brought up this theory of getting in where you fit in. she didn't get it :)
people like to have a group of people they always to stick to. basically, their second family. but what happens when you lose that family? and most of the time, we can't blame them, but only ourselves. because sometimes we've just changed too much for them to accept us anymore. where do we go? there's no other place to go to except for there. and it's pretty simple, get in where you fit in. like puzzles pieces finally connecting and finding their place next to each other. what if you are that unsignificant piece? what if you are just that extra piece hanging out of that little picture perfect box. i guess, all you can do is hang on, and hang on the tightest you ever could, because you know that if you detach, you will lose everything. you're like a bundle of papers in the wind held together with a paperclip. but once you lose the paperclip, you fly into pieces, scattered everywhere and it'll take you another forever for you to pull yourself back into that bundle you used to be. that's why i think that getting in where you fit in is risky business. because the truth is, there is a place where you belong. everyone has one place they belong. and it's better to find that place no matter how hard it may be, no matter how many obstacles block your way, then to just opt with what's the easy way out.
so let me ask you this; do you get in where you fit in?
